BCF Announces New Staff Member

The Bartlesville Community Foundation is pleased to announce they have hired Mirelle Onukwube as Director of Community Outreach. She will serve as a liaison to agencies and donors, help steward current funds, and promote the Foundation to encourage the creation of new funds.

“We are so pleased that Mirelle is joining us at the Foundation,” notes Shawn Crawford, Executive Director of the BCF. “She brings a wealth of experience and has developed tremendous relationships in the community and the nonprofit sector.”

Onukwube grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2012. The day after graduation, she moved to Bartlesville to serve as Director of Resource Development and Marketing for the Boys & Girls Club. Fueled by her passion to expand opportunities for all youth and a commitment to community service, she served at the Club for three years. “I am very proud of what has been accomplished over the past three years at the Boys & Girls Club of Bartlesville and am excited to use the experience I gained to help the Bartlesville Community Foundation expand its mission to bring people together to strengthen our community,” states Onukwube.

Onukwube’s new role will assist the Foundation as they experience rapid growth. Assets at the Foundation have more than tripled in the last three years. The Foundation builds permanent endowments, manages grant and scholarship programs, supports new charitable endeavors, and offers educational opportunities to enhance nonprofits and donors’ philanthropic goals.
