Flash! Philanthropy 2019 – Register Now

The Bartlesville Community Foundation will again be offering donors a chance to make a major investment in a nonprofit in an easy, hands-on way with the return of its Flash Philanthropy program. Last year the program awarded over $8,500 in grants to local organizations.

A donor, or group of donors, makes a pledge of at least $500 to participate in the program. “We are pleased to again offer Flash Philanthropy to engage donors and to make a real impact in the community,” notes Mike Wilt, Executive Director of the Bartlesville Community Foundation. “We hope to attract even more participation this year.”

All the donors will join together to find a project to support with the money they pledge. The Bartlesville Community Foundation will solicit and gather grant applications and then allow those in Flash Philanthropy to choose their three favorite proposals. Those three finalists will make a presentation to the entire group, and then donors will decide which grant to fund. It’s a great way to become involved in charity in a very personal way.

And it couldn’t be easier: make a pledge, learn how to evaluate the grant proposals, and then choose the project to support. “You can help make Bartlesville a better place in a flash.”
