Bartlesville Community Foundation: Names Jensen Interim Executive Director

The Bartlesville Community Foundation board of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Jensen as Interim Executive Director, effective June 18, 2018.

“We appreciate Shawn’s service and wish him well. Our Foundation is in a very good place and we look forward to continued success and are confident in Laura’s ability to lead us through this period of transition,” Board Chair Mark Headley.

Ms. Jensen spent six years in the banking industry before joining BCF staff in 2017 as the Director of Affiliates and Community Outreach. While with the Foundation, she has served as a liaison to affiliates, agencies, and donors, helped steward current funds, promote the Foundation, Foundation programing and encourage the creation of new funds.

Laura holds a primary bachelor’s degree in Public Health and a secondary bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University. Locally, she serves as the Membership Chair of the Young Professionals board, a Chamber Advocate for the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Bartlesville Class 27 graduate, Bartlesville Noon Rotary Club member, City of Bartlesville’s Board of Adjustment board member, Run the Streets Lead Mentor as well as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartlesville and Washington County Elder Care.

“I am humbled by the board’s decision and am grateful for this opportunity. Together, I have full confidence that we can achieve a smooth transition. The Foundation is in a great place and we look forward to continuing our work in the Bartlesville community” says Jensen.

Jensen fills this role in response to the resignation of Shawn Crawford, CEO, who accepted a position as the Executive Director of the Tulsa Library Trust. Since 2013, Crawford has been an asset to the Foundation. He leaves the BCF with the tools it needs to continue in its growth and service to the Bartlesville community.
