Enrollment for Planned Giving Partnership Now Open
The Bartlesville Community Foundation and Bartlesville Regional United Way helped to sponsor a community-wide partnership program focused on building long-term sustainability and endowment, as well as assisting nonprofit agencies with development planning. The first phase of the program proved extremely successful, with over $4 million in planned gifts being created to benefit Bartlesville nonprofits and $100,000 in operating grants awarded to those agencies that met their planned giving goals.
During the second phase of the program in 2017, the Bartlesville Community Foundation will be the sole sponsor of the program with The Advancement Group continuing to provide the planned giving resources for participating agencies. The program will be open to even more agencies. Nonprofits are invited to learn more about the opportunity and submit an application to participate.
Realizing that a planned giving program is outside the financial reach of most nonprofits, Bartlesville Community Foundation underwrites a significant portion of the program’s costs. Agencies pay an annual fee, based on the size of its operating budget. In exchange, participating agencies receive a customized, full service planned giving program that includes: assistance to develop or enhance a legacy society, donor education seminars, planned giving marketing materials, individualized donor appointments, planned giving workshops for agency executive directors and development directors, and much more.
The Planned Giving Partnership Program Information Session will take place on January 31st from 10:00am-11:00 am at the Community Foundation offices, 208 E. 4th Street. It is recommended that each agency send their Executive Director, Development Director, and at least one (1) board member (Board Chair, Finance Chair, or other Executive Committee member) to attend. RSVP to Anne Swearingin at 918-337-2287 by January 30th if you plan to attend.
