The Community Childcare Committee consists of community leaders and is advised by childcare professionals. We strive to be a source of information and a bridge for providers, families, and employers in our community seeking and promoting quietly early childhood education. Below are some of the projects this committee has launched :

Early Childhood Education Support Fund

Give to the Early Childhood Education Support Fund and support grant making to childcare in Washington County.

So far, this fund has been used to grant to providers:

• Seeking accreditation to achieve the highest level of QRS “Stars” ratings through OK DHS after an emergency rules change
• Emergency needs grants to local providers who experience a health/safety or critical program need that would otherwise compromise the health & safety of their environment or result in program disruptions

Washington County Childcare Collaborative

This is a project of the committee that enhances communication and networking of the committees work to the community.

Washington County Childcare Providers Network

A space for providers to connect, share needs, and the committee to drop-in with questions so real time action can lead to well informed solutions.
