BCF and BRUW to Host Social Media Workshop

The Bartlesville Community Foundation and Bartlesville Regional United Way will sponsor a social media workshop August 28 to help nonprofits improve their communication skills. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cherokee Room at Tri County Technology Center. The cost is $5, and lunch will be provided.

The workshop–3 Keys to Understanding Social Media–will define marketing, establish a social media strategy, and learn about tools and implementation of your strategy. Most non-profits struggle with having a strong social media presence because they lack the time and personnel to implement it effectively. You will learn tools that we use that will save you time and keep your social media working even when you are not working on it.

The workshop will be taught by 1429 Creative, a marketing firm based in Fort Worth, Texas that specializes in marketing strategy development, social media coaching, website development and graphic design for small businesses, non profits, churches and private Christian schools throughout the country.  Randy & Donny Vaughn, commonly known as “The Marketing Twins” are the principal owners. Randy is a certified Duct Tape Marketing Consultant and has a specialty in working with private Christian schools.  Donny works closely with non profits and business owners in the area of social media and is an email marketing specialist.

You can register for the workshop online, or RSVP to the Bartlesville Community Foundation at aswearingin@bartlesvillecf.org by August 25.
