Flash Philanthropy

Flash Philanthropy giving opportunities are a way for the Bartlesville Community Foundation to share time sensitive, one-off, unexpected needs of local organizations with funders in our community.

Time sensitive, one-off, unexpected needs do NOT include general operating, sponsorships, capacity building, program support, seed funding, or capital project requests.

Time sensitive, one-off, unexpected needs COULD include – a piece of equipment broke/quit or was damaged and its repair/replacement was not budgeted, the need for your services dramatically increased and support is required to meet the need. Essentially, your program or service would not continue or be used without the fulfillment of this request.

Together, we close funding gaps in real time! These requests will be shared with the Foundation’s private fundholders and with the public via the Foundation’s social media, website, and newsletter.

Criteria for Eligibility: 

• Nonprofit located in Washington, Osage or Nowata County
• Funding needed in 60 days or less
• Ask is $2,000 or less
• Case for Support
  • This Case for Support should be a written document of no more than 3 pages that shares:
    • The mission of the organization
    • Summarizes the need/project and answers the questions –
      • 1) How is this a time sensitive, one-off, unexpected need for your organization?
      • 2) What critical function of your organization is affected by this need?
      • 3) Can my organization fulfill its mission without this funding?
    • Describes the specific request for which this funding will be used
    • Sustainability – how will the organization ensure a similar request isn’t needed again in the next 1-3 years
