A new program to engage younger donors in philanthropy is coming to Bartlesville. Developed by the Bartlesville Community Foundation, Flash Philanthropy will give those ages 21-40 a chance to make a major investment in a nonprofit in an easy, hands-on way.

Think of Flash Philanthropy as Kickstarter in reverse. A group of young donors will join together to find a project to grant the money they pledge. The Bartlesville Community Foundation will solicit and gather the grant applications and then allow those in Flash Philanthropy to choose their three favorite proposals. The three finalists will make a presentation to the entire group and then donors will decide which grant to fund. It’s a great way to become involved in charity in a very personal way.

And it couldn’t be easier: make a pledge, learn how to evaluate the grant proposals, and then choose the project to support. You can help make Bartlesville a better place in a flash.
