Bartlesville Community Foundation will host a lunch and learn to introduce local nonprofit leaders to Mark Whitmire of 501tech, an IT shared service program serving the needs of Oklahoma nonprofits. The program has served more than 275 nonprofit organizations and schools with a wide array of IT products and services. 501tech is a non-profit program of the Tulsa Community Foundation. A team of eleven currently supports 2,500 PCs representing 80 nonprofit organizations operating out of 150 offices across Oklahoma.

In addition to IT support services and hardware redistribution, 501tech offers a broad range of short-term consulting services. They help nonprofit organizations explore options for reducing costs while increasing capabilities and sustainability.

Mark Whitmire moved to Tulsa from New Orleans in 1970 and has lived and worked in Oklahoma ever since. After graduating from Memorial High School, Mark earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University after which he pursued a career in information technology management. He has held senior leadership positions in several large Oklahoma-based enterprises. He joined Tulsa Community Foundation in June 2010 to develop what is now known as 501tech.

The lunch and learn will be held Tuesday, September 20th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Bartlesville Public Library in Room A. The cost is $5 and covers the cost of lunch. RSVP to Anne Swearingin at 918-337-2287 or aswearingin@bartlesvillecf.org by September 16th.
