For the last several years, the Bartlesville Community Foundation has encouraged people to invest in The Power of Together. That commitment has proven extremely successful with the Foundation recently reaching $10 million in total assets.

“We are very thankful for the amazing generosity of our community,” notes Shawn Crawford, Executive Director of the BCF. “The Foundation has grown five-fold over the last three years. That means more grants for our nonprofits, more services for those in need, and a more secure future for organizations.”

The Foundation builds permanent endowments, manages grant and scholarship programs, supports new charitable endeavors, and offers educational opportunities to enhance nonprofits and donors’ philanthropic goals. The BCF manages over 100 funds and collectively those funds grant an average of $1 million a year back to the community.

Recent initiatives at the Foundation include Flash Philanthropy, a program to encourage younger donors, the Planned Giving Partnership, a collaboration with the United Way to help organizations and donors create planned, estate, and bequest gifts, and organization roundtables to help nonprofits share ideas and resources.
