It is with great pleasure that the Bartlesville Community Foundation will offer a new scholarship opportunity for students in the 2021 scholarship cycle.
The Glenn and Anne Dodwell Memorial Scholarship has been created to honor the legacy of Dr. Glenn W. Dodwell and Ms. Anne M. Dodwell. Glenn received his PhD in Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. He pursued a career in the chemical engineering profession and joined Phillips Petroleum Company as a research chemist in 1998. Dr. Dodwell held multiple patents for his work in chemical research.
Ms. Anne M. Dodwell attended Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts where she received a nursing diploma and then Maryville College in St. Louis, Missouri where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Anne then attended Columbia University in New York City where she received a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Anesthesia. She was employed at Columbia Hospital in New York City prior to her move to Bartlesville in 1998 where she accepted employment at Jane Phillips Medical Center as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Glenn and Anne married in 1975 in Worcester, Massachusetts and moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1998 where they established roots and focused on their careers. Anne passed away in 2013 while Dr. Dodwell passed in 2018.
“Together through this scholarship, Glenn and Anne Dodwell’s legacy will live on as they help others pursue careers in the areas of study they found so meaningful,” said Mike Wilt, executive director, Bartlesville Community Foundation.
