July 1 marks the beginning of a new fiscal year for the Bartlesville Community Foundation. While the last four months have presented a few challenges for us all, the Foundation is delighted to share that FY 2019-2020 enabled BCF to reach new milestones.
During the last twelve months the Foundation awarded $50,500 in scholarships to college-bound students, over $77,000 in competitive grants following our two annual grant cycles, and facilitated approximately $1.5 million in grants to organizations and causes that positively impacted the community and the lives of so many.
Although we made the decision to postpone our formal event from May 2020 to May of 2021, we are pleased to honor the Dunlap and Vaclaw families as the newest members of our Legacy Hall of Fame. We also named the E.H. “Ted” and Melody Lyon family as the second recipients of the Foundation’s Heritage Award.
As the Foundation embarks on its 21st year, we are excited about tapping into the Power of Together to further develop a network of local professionals to help individuals, families and groups achieve their charitable goals.
The Power of Together enables us to accomplish far more for the betterment of Bartlesville than any individual could alone and make a lasting impact in our community. We thank the community, our donors, fundholders and supporters for their engagement in 2019-2020 and look forward to 2020-2021!
