About the FAFSA: The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a FREE application that opens October 1st. If you have not completed the FAFSA before, you will need to register for an FSA ID in order to start the application. This application is a one-stop-shop for students to apply for federal student loans, pell grants, and parent loans.
