How Can I Give?
Give in a way that works for you
The Bartlesville Community Foundation accepts many types of charitable and planned gifts. These gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Some types may have additional conditions upon acceptance based on tax law or the Foundation’s Gift Acceptance Policy, so please contact us with any questions or concerns. If you are interested in giving in a way that is not listed below, contact the BCF office.
Give Online
You can make a gift to any current fund in the foundation. Any size donation, even a dollar, is welcomed and will help the endowment to grow. We believe in being a true community foundation, where everyone can contribute no matter their means.
Cash and Checks
The simplest and most convenient form of Giving
Publicly-Traded Securities
By contributing appreciated securities, such as equities, bonds, or mutual funds, you can receive a double benefit of an immediate charitable deduction for the full market value of the assets and an exemption to any capital gains tax on the appreciation.
Insurance
By transferring ownership of your insurance policy to the BCF, you will receive a tax deduction for the policy’s cash value.
IRA
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) or Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) might be a great way to continue your philanthropy in a tax efficient way.
Retirement Assets
By naming your fund at the Foundation as the beneficiary of a retirement asset, we can help ensure the giving you do today continues in perpetuity
Real Estate and Tangible Personal Property
A gift of real estate or tangible gifts of property may be a good strategy for you. These can be more complex gifts that require more due diligence but if this is an avenue that interests you, give us a call!
