Flash Philanthropy, a new program of the Bartlesville Community Foundation, is requesting grant proposals. A group of young donors, aged 21-40 each pledged at least $500 to create a grant pool of $5,000 to help support a Bartlesville non-profit.

“We are very pleased that Flash Philanthropy is fully funded. The young donors in Bartlesville really stepped up to participate. We look forward to receiving proposals for our inaugural grant from the program,” says Shawn Crawford, Executive Director of the foundation.

Any 501(c)3 is eligible to apply. The top three applicants, as chosen by the donors, will be asked to make a presentation to the entire Flash Philanthropy group to determine how the grant will be awarded.  A nonprofit may request up to $5,000 in their application.

When reviewing applications for grants for the Flash Philanthropy program, the committee will consider grants for Program Support, Seed Money, or Capacity Building.

The committee will also consider if the program, project, or capacity for which funding is requested is sustainable.

The review committee will pay particular attention to how the grant request employs a creative and unique approach to providing service to the Bartlesville community.

Questions and request for details are available by contacting Shawn Crawford at 918.337.2287.

Applications must be submitted online by 5pm October 4, 2013.
