The Bartlesville Community Foundation and Bartlesville Regional United Way will sponsor a grant writing workshop April 1 to help nonprofits improve their skills in this important funding area.
Participants will learn about approaching funders, creating proposals, budgeting and reporting. The workshop hopes to take the mystery and worry out of this opportunity to secure income for nonprofit organizations.
The workshop will be led by John Highkin, Executive Director of Young Audiences of San Diego. John has engaged grant writing at every level, from creating proposals to reviewing submissions to serving as a grantmaker. He has experience with the grant writing process from private foundations to federal grant programs.
