The Bartlesville Community Foundation announces the opening of its scholarship application cycle. The BCF administers several local scholarships established by various philanthropists and community organizations including Birdies for Scholarships Fund, Blair Thompson Russell Memorial Scholarship, Bud & Brad Horsman Scholarship, Lou Skurcenski Memorial Scholarship, Service League Scholarships and Zona B. McCracken Memorial Scholarship.  Scholarships are available for Bartlesville, Nowata and Caney Valley students. Award amounts vary from $1,000 to $5,000. The deadline for all scholarships administered by BCF is Monday, March 14 at 5 pm. All applications are available here.

Those interested in applying for scholarships are encouraged to attend the second event of BCF’s two-part “Money for College Series.” The Foundation will be hosting a Scholarship Panel on Monday, February 15 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in Room 108 of Bartlesville High School. Individuals who have served on scholarship selection committees will offer their advice on applying for scholarships such as what information to include in essays and resumes. Pizza will be provided and a Roku Streaming Stick will be the door prize. All college-bound students are welcome. Participants do not have to attend Bartlesville Public Schools to attend.

The Bartlesville Community Foundation is also requesting all groups offering local scholarships submit their information for listing in the new online Local Scholarship Directory. This directory will serve as a simple resource for college-bound students to search for local scholarships. Submit your local scholarship listing here.
