The Bartlesville Community Foundation is pleased to administer the following scholarships from its pool of funds. Please carefully note the requirements for each and provide the requested information. Birdies for Scholarships

Amount Available

Up to $2000 payable as 50 percent per semester for the first two semesters as long as a 3.0 or higher grade point average is maintained

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be associated with the Bartlesville High School golf team. Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, financial need, service to school, quality of essay, a 3.0 or higher grade average based on the four-point scale. Service to school will be defined as involvement in school activities, such as clubs, service organizations, school government, pep squad, etc.

Blair Thompson Russell Memorial Scholarship

Award

Up to $1000 made payable to the university, college, junior college, trade or vocational school on behalf of the recipient, following proof of acceptance. Entries will be judged by a Selection and Review committee comprised primarily of family members. Recipient will be selected based on adherence to prescribed criteria, meaningful content and clarity of essay, and strong character as demonstrated through letters of recommendation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bartlesville High School Graduating senior.
  • 2.5 GPA
  • Demonstrated strong moral character and citizenship during high school years
  • Overcome personal obstacles in his/her life but demonstrated academic dedication throughout
  • Attending university, college, junior college, trade or vocational school

Lou Skurcenski Memorial Scholarship

Amount Available

Up to $4000 payable as 25 percent per semester for the first two years as long as a 2.5 or higher college grade point average is maintained

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a Bartlesville High School graduating senior and a participant in high school athletics. Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, financial need, community involvement, sportsmanlike conduct and leadership, service to school, service to the community, and congeniality with students, staff and faculty. The applicant must have achieved a 3.0 grade average based on the four-point scale.

Zona B. McCracken Memorial Scholarship

Amount Available

Up to $1000 payable as 50 percent per semester for the first two semesters as long as a 3.0 or higher grade point average is maintained

The applicant must be a senior at Nowata High School. Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, financial need, service to school, quality of essay, a 3.0 or higher grade average based on the four-point scale. Service to school will be defined as involvement in school activities, such as clubs, service organizations, school government, pep squad, etc.

Bud & Brad Horsman Scholarship

Amount Available

Up to $1000 payable as 50 percent per semester for the first two semesters as long as a 3.0 GPA or higher grade point average is maintained.

Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, financial need, service to school, a 3.0 or higher grade average based on the four-point scale. Service to school will be defined as involvement in school activities, such as clubs, service organizations, school government, pep squad, etc.
