Executive Director Laura Jensen presents board and staff from The Journey Home with a check for $20,000!

We were thrilled to congratulate The Journey Home with the BCF’s first-ever Tell Your Story Grant! This exciting announcement was made at our sold-out Celebrate Together Luncheon on September 17, 2024. The $20,000 grant is split three ways: $5,000 allocated for operational support, $5,000 dedicated to creating a promotional video that speaks to the value of growing endowment, and $10,000 going toward their endowment.

The Journey Home was one of 20 local nonprofits vying for this special grant, and their work speaks volumes. Providing compassionate end-of-life care in a home-like setting at no cost,The Journey Home served 226 patients in 2023 and welcomed over 500 visitors. From meals and laundry to housekeeping, their incredible team of staff and volunteers ensure every comfort is met for patients and their loved ones.
