BCF Funds Award Scholarships

Several Bartlesville Community Foundation Funds awarded their annual scholarships to area high school students this month.

“We are pleased to work with our donors to support education throughout the area,” says Shawn Crawford, Executive Director of the Foundation. “Congratulations to all our scholarship recipients.”

At Bartlesville High School, the following scholarships were awarded:

  • The Blair Thompson-Russell Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Cinthya Carranco
  • The Lou Skurcenski Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Rachel Day
  • The Larry Houchin Sportsmanship Award went to Elizabeth White
  • The Birdies for Scholarships awards went to Brooke Wong and Kyler Brown

At Caney Valley High School, Olivia Madden was awarded the Bud and Brad Horsman Memorial Scholarship, and at Nowata High School, Ashton Haas was awarded the Zona B McCracken Memorial Scholarship.

The total value of all scholarships awarded through Foundation funds this year will exceed $50,000.

The Bartlesville Community Foundation strengthens nonprofits through The Power of Together. The Foundation builds permanent endowments, manages grant and scholarship programs, supports new charitable endeavors, and offers educational opportunities to enhance nonprofits and donors’ philanthropic goals.
