Mary Fee

After graduating from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Mary Sue Fee began her teaching career at Madison Junior High School in 1963 and later taught at Central Junior High School. For many years after, she taught Senior English at Dewey High School, as well as adult education as part of the GED program in Bartlesville. She was tough but fair, compassionate, and always had the best interest of her students at heart. One student stated that Mrs. Fee knew that each student has their own personality and ability, and so her goal was to give every student the opportunity to learn English without anyone standing apart or being embarrassed. She was a wonderful teacher who touched thousands of lives. This scholarship is created by her family as a way for her to keep making a positive difference for future generations of teachers.
