Pat Tucker Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of Pat Tucker, who worked as a cook in the Caney Valley High School cafeteria for over 35 years, and who passed away on December 13, 2012. Over the years, Pat provided boundless kindness, support, and help to the students at Caney Valley. The Pat Tucker Memorial Scholarship is designed to continue Pat’s legacy of kindness by supporting a graduating senior at Caney Valley who is continuing their schooling at a college or university.

Award Details:

A one-time award of $1,000 for a senior graduating from Caney Valley High School.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Student must be a graduating senior of Caney Valley High School
  • Planning to attend a college or university
  • Student must have a financial need
  • Well-written essay, addressing your financial need and how this award would assist you in pursuing a college education
  • Well-written essay, addressing how a college degree will help you develop skills to help others and make a positive contribution to your community

Required Addendums:

  • First page(s) of FAFSA Submission Summary, up to and including the Student Aid Index number. Refer to FAQs for more information.
  • Official Caney Valley High School transcript
