Carmen J. Stanton Scholarship

Carmen Stanton

Carmen Jeannette Stanton was a devoted wife, mother, and beloved member of the Bartlesville community. She lived a life defined by love, service, and a steadfast dedication to both her family and the people around her. A 1961 graduate of College High School in Bartlesville, Carmen’s path was marked by ambition, achievement, and a deep commitment to helping others. In 1968, she founded Career Employment Service, Inc. Through her leadership, she helped hundreds of individuals secure meaningful employment, positively impacting countless families throughout the region. Carmen was also proud to be one of the first women elected to the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where she worked tirelessly to uplift her community. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carmen was a passionate volunteer and dedicated fundraiser. She served as an active member of the Washington County American Red Cross, a board member of Give Back America, and a committed participant in the Green Country Pilot Club. Carmen’s enduring love for her community and her lifelong dedication to giving back inspired the creation of the Carmen J. Stanton Scholarship Fund. This fund honors her legacy, her generosity, and her unwavering belief in supporting others – just as she did throughout her remarkable life.
