Young Professionals of Bartlesville is an organization for professionals aged 21 to the young-at-heart in the Bartlesville area. As a forum for professional networking, development and social events, YP Bartlesville seeks to promote and preserve the businesses, attractions and events that make Bartlesville unique.

YP Bartlesville established this scholarship to support the continuing education of adults who live and work in Bartlesville. It is not intended for graduating high school seniors. It is also not intended for those currently in college unless they also have a full time job in Bartlesville or are a scholarship recipient who is reapplying.

Award Details: 

Up to $1,500 payable to the university, college, junior college, trade or vocational school on behalf of the recipient, following proof of acceptance. Recipients with a 2.5 or higher college GPA may reapply for the scholarship in the general applicant pool, but preference will be given to new recipients. Preference will also be given to those intending to pursue a career in Bartlesville.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Adult who lives and has a full time job in Bartlesville. (Recipients who are reapplying are not required to concurrently work in Bartlesville as long as they are full time students.)
• Unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher or college GPA of 2.5 or higher, whichever is most recent
• Financial need will be a consideration
• Planning to attend university, college, junior college, trade or vocational school
• Well-written essay, describing the impact you hope to have with the use of your degree
• Well-written essay, describing the challenges you have faced in pursuing your education

Required Addendums:

• One letter of recommendation from a teacher or unrelated individual
• First page(s) of FAFSA Submission Summary, up to and including the Student Aid Index number. Refer to FAQs for more information.
• Official high school or college transcript, whichever is most recent
